The Baron SAF-T-Net (Specific Alerting for Threats) system constantly processes multiple radar and other data sources, locating areas of wind shear and other severe storm activity. A site-specific alerting process makes a clear distinction between those affected to the storms. Through this process, areas of concern are reduced from broadly-defined areas to precise points, allowing mobilization of resources and instantaneous warning to those in harm’s way.

Subscribers determined to be affected by the inclement weather are notified via e-mail or text message. All priorities and messages can be custom tailored, allowing public safety officials to transmit localized alerts to only those citizens in harm’s way.
