Baron's FutureScan technology is specialized for futurecasting of storm growth, movement and decay. Based on technology developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, it delivers accurate storm projections, allowing officials to better allocate resources and anticipate upcoming conditions.

The COBRA® algorithms developed by Baron are employed to effectively pinpoint areas of severe storm activity, such as wind shear, intense hail and potential flooding. When applied to hydrological applications, COBRA technology accurately determines the instantaneous precipitation rate and expected accumulations.
