How does Baron QuikLink work?
QuikLink is a graphical weather data service from Baron Services that utilizes your existing onboard Internet connection. Other than a display device (such as a PC notebook), no additional hardware is needed. The required Baron WxWorx software, available in the QuikLink Store, allows you to view and interact with QuikLink data products.
What’s the advantage of the QuikLink delivery method?
QuikLink data requires little bandwidth to download, ideal for mobile applications. In addition, the delivery method for global subscriptions divides the world into 23 regions, so you can download data for more specific areas, which helps further reduce bandwidth charges from your provider.
What is the difference between my Account Login and my Weather Data Login?
Use your Account Login to access your account on the Baron QuikLink page to purchase subscriptions, download software updates and manage your account.
Your Weather Data Login has a different purpose, the verification of your account. The first time you launch the Baron WxWorx software, you’ll be prompted to enter your Weather Data Login. Then you will begin receiving QuikLink data. Unless you change your Weather Data login on your QuikLink account page, you won't need to enter it into the software again.
You will need to set both your Account and Weather Data logins when you create your QuikLink account. If you prefer, these logins can be identical.
Where can I subscribe to Baron QuikLink data?
The Baron QuikLink store offers a selection of global and Domestic US data subscriptions, as well as Baron WxWorx software downloads and purchases.

How am I billed for the QuikLink service?
Baron accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit card payments. You do not need to sign a contract for QuikLink data service. Once you subscribe, you will be billed monthly on a recurring basis. You may choose to cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, your subscription will expire at the end of the next payment date.
How do I select the region(s) I want for my QuikLink subscription?
Unless you opt for the entire global dataset, you’ll select individual regions while purchasing your subscription. Each subscription is linked to the region(s) you choose, so be sure to select regions of particular interest to you.
Can I change the regions I am subscribed to?
Except for the global subscription, which provides access to all 23 regions, any QuikLink subscription is tied to the region(s) you select at the time of purchase. If you have a 1-region or 2-region subscription and want to access QuikLink data for different regions, you can cancel your current subscription and repurchase another for the new region(s) you want. Your current subscription will expire at the end of the next payment date. Your newer subscription will take effect immediately.

What is the difference between the domestic US and global versions of the Baron WxWorx software?
The version of Baron WxWorx that displays domestic US data packages is free to download and use. The more advanced version of Baron WxWorx, optimized for international applications, features full high-resolution aerial mapping worldwide, and a data manager that allows you to define the data products you want to download, and schedule the downloads of desired data products. Due to the larger file size required for worldwide aerial data, the global Baron WxWorx software is not available for download, but will be sent to you using your choice of shipping method.
On how many machines can I install the Baron WxWorx software?
After you purchase the Baron WxWorx software, you may install it on as many machines as you like. Note that only one data connection at a time can be active.
What are the suggested hardware requirements for Baron WxWorx?
The WxWorx software can run on most PCs. Minimum requirements are:
