Lightning data from the U.S. National Lightning Detection Network (NLDN), the most accurate and reliable large-scale lightning detection network in the world, allows you to monitor the location of lightning across the nation and its coastal regions. Strikes are color-coded according to the time elapsed since they occurred.

Left-click any METAR (Aviation Meteorology Report) icon for a detailed report of conditions observed on the ground, including winds, sky conditions, the presence of storms, and more. Right-clicking the icon products a TAF (Terminal Aerodrome Forecast), a 24-hour text forecast for wind, visibility, wind shear and other expected conditions.

Know areas to avoid well before takeoff. TFRs identify airspace where all aircraft are temporarily restricted from entering, typically for hazardous conditions, dignitary visits and other major events.
