BTI Successfully Ranks Tornadic Storms in Alabama

During the early morning hours of February 6, the BTI highlighted the tornadic potential of the Lawrence and Jackson County EF-4 tornadoes in northern Alabama. At the time of the tornadoes, no other storms in the viewing area had a comparable BTI—an important note for judging tornadic potential.

In its summary survey, the National Weather Service reported that the most extreme damage during the Jackson Co. tornado occurred between the Rosalie and Pisgah communities.
